2022 Scholarship Award Recipients

Haniya Jalili

My  name is Haniya Jaliliand I am currently a senior in High School. After graduating, I plan to attend SNHU and continue my education with a major in Biology. And after that I plan to study some more to become an optometrist. With such a long road ahead of me, I am sincerely grateful to have been given a scholarship by the FHL foundation, because it is with their contributions that I am able to make my dreams come true. Their contributions mean so deeply to me given that I, too, value community service a lot. During my high school years I have created a lot of holiday cards to be sent to nursing homes; and later during COVID I made cards to bring hope for the elderlies isolated in those nursing homes. I have also contributed to a clothing drive in hopes that I can put a smile on someone’s face. The rewarding feeling that I get through doing such acts of community service makes me want to continue to do more and give back to my community for the years to come. I hope that one day I can achieve all my goals, be of help to my community, and inspire others to do the same as well

Natalie Stottlar

My name is Natalie Stottlar and I’m a senior, graduating from Laconia High School. During this school year, I was able to create and run my own mentoring program with the 6th graders at Laconia Middle School. I spent numerous months teaching about social and emotional skills as well as planning for the future. I’ve been put in various situations that have helped me become the person I am today. I was able to take what I’ve learned about myself and provide for the kids that needed it. This all has helped me stay motivated and graduate with a Diploma of Distinction. As I achieved the amount of hours needed in the first 2 months of school by being a part of Key Club, I also worked to prevent drugs and alcohol in my community through Stand up Sachems. Outside of school, I spend most of my time watching or playing basketball. I’ve had a love for basketball since I was 4 years old and has helped me bring my family together during hard times. Basketball has brought my dad and I together as he competes with me while being incarcerated. My mom looks forward to watching basketball with me when I travel to Florida. In the fall, I will be pursuing my love for basketball by attending the University of New Hampshire as I plan to major in Sports Management. I plan to use my degree to manage a business within sports. I am beyond grateful for the Faith Hope and Love Foundation as they have provided me support in my upcoming goals.
